- Where are my countdowns saved? In your browser (localStorage).
- Can I embed a countdown? Yes—use “Get Embed.”
- Will there be a Pro version? Planned: custom themes, analytics, no branding.
- Does it work across time zones? Yes—pick any IANA timezone (e.g.
America/New_York) and the link preserves it. - What about Daylight Saving Time? DST is handled automatically by your chosen timezone.
- Why does the timer show hours:minutes:seconds? It’s designed for clarity. We’ll add days/weeks formatting in a future update.
- My timer is off by a few seconds—why? Browser sleep, throttling, or tab backgrounding can delay updates. It re-syncs every tick.
- Can I share a link to a specific countdown? Yes—use “Copy Share Link.” The URL includes your title, date/time, timezone, and color.
- How do I change the accent color? Use the color picker in the builder; it updates the live preview instantly.
- Can I clear my saved countdowns? Yes—click “Clear” in the “Your saved countdowns” section.
- Can I use it offline? Saved countdowns open offline, but sharing/embeds and timezone lists may need a connection.
- Is my data private? We don’t store accounts or serverside data. Everything you save stays in your browser.
- How do I make the embed fit my site? Adjust the iframe’s width/height style; the countdown is responsive.
- Can it auto-rollover to next year for holidays? Use the “Rollover to the next occurrence” button when the timer reaches zero.
